Authentic relationships are those in which two people are dedicated to listening & growing together - one supporting the other and the other firmly at the call of one.

Such authentic relationships can fortify and stabilize fast - or authentic relationships can happen at the calling of a moment or it can grow over the span of a few years - the critical component forever being the two people both of who are sincerely invested in it until perpetuity.
