Either you take pride in the ownership of the idea OR you take pride in being facilitor of the change agenda. Your claim to ownership of the idea will tend to alienate you from the others who have to implement this change. People particularly avoid implementing ideas thrust upon them which they believe to be alien or see as their own. Alternate for you is to transfer ownership of the idea to the team that has to implement it and thereafter take full pride in being facilitator of the changed agenda . Wisdom is in gifting the idea to the team.
