Pleasure To Toxic Pain

He who knows no limits to his pleasures unknowingly enters the kingdom of pain. Acute good beyond a point can just bring unhappiness as it diminishes & diminishes & takes away the pleasure that every successive unit contributes through the process of immunization.

To be able to get the same 'kick' of pleasure , one now needs more quantum of pleasure inputs than earlier ... till it reaches a point when even one more additional input in quantum of pleasure would convert pleasure into toxic punishment.
