The Garden of Success is Watered by 'Consistency'.

Success can be achieved through two paths: luck or consistency. While luck may seem appealing, it is unpredictable and fleeting. You cannot control it, and it may vanish as quickly as it appears.

On the other hand, consistency represents a steadfast commitment to a course of action, maintained day after day. In today's fast-paced world, many dive into new ideas with enthusiasm but often give up at the first sign of difficulty.

Consider the story of Sunderesan, a gardener with a talent for nurturing plants. He planted two flowering plants: one in the sunny south, enjoying ample rain and rich soil, and the other on the eastern side, shaded and deprived of resources. The southern plant thrived, drawing admiration, while the eastern plant struggled and went unnoticed.

Understanding its challenges, Sunderesan cared for the eastern plant daily—watering it, loosening the soil, removing weeds, and protecting it from pests. Regardless of the weather or recognition, his routine remained unchanged.

When a severe drought struck, the once-favored southern plant withered, unable to withstand the dry conditions due to its shallow roots. In contrast, the eastern plant, nurtured consistently, had developed deep roots and resilience.

A young boy asked Sunderesan why the taller plant failed. The gardener replied, "One grew because the skies loved it. The other grew because it was consistently watered."

This principle applies to life as well. A good book may spark an idea, and a visit to another company may reveal best practices, but without execution, these inspirations lead nowhere. Inconsistency is often the real issue, not the idea itself.

Luck may grant an early bloom, but only consistency can cultivate deep roots, which are essential for sustaining success.
