Trust is not about blind acceptance; it's about making wise choices. Being honest is essential, but remember, stupidity is choice.
Hidden in the value of Trust lies the wisdom of knowing who not to Trust. Trust is not about naivity to accept everything that someone states as being true and consequently investing one's full stock behind that choice. Trust is about differentiating wise choices from options ... not about backing options mindlessly without checking.
Trust is something you give and take, stupidity is something you do. Being honest is something you do.
I have known of stupid people that are extremely honest and trustworthy, but I will also never forget that they are quite capable of doing stupid things without warning thus causing great damage if you have backed them up. Thus I would never bet all my money on them blindly.
Snakes are always on a look out for such naive and stupid people. They disguise themselves as friends or family or good colleagues to deceive.
The naive search for snakes in grasslands. The wise search of snakes hiding and disguised as friends, family and sycophant colleagues.
Wonder what the general experiences of friends reading this Post are...
