When Ignorance Occupies the Throne And Knowledge Holds Shoes !!

Too often, those who occupy positions of leadership are profoundly ignorant. The deeper tragedy, however, is that knowledge stands beneath the throne, holding ignorance’s shoes.
To honour ignorance with leadership is to ridicule intellect. To make the knowledgeable serve the vanity of the ignorant compounds that insult—and weakens the institution itself.
Competence becomes subordinate to compliance. Sound counsel gives way to flattery. Wisdom is valued only when it agrees with authority.
We witness this across society—in trusts, corporations and academia. Those best equipped to guide are pushed to the margins, while those least equipped to lead demand unquestioning obedience.
Such systems may stumble along in ordinary times. A crisis, however, exposes the cost of every warning dismissed, every informed voice silenced and every decision shaped by vanity rather than judgment.
When ignorance commands and knowledge is made to bow, an institution prepares the ground for its own collapse.
The shame lies not only in who occupies the throne, but in what others surrender to keep them there.
