Your Silence Sets the Standard

What you tolerate, repeatedly, becomes the accepted standard of behaviour. Every wrong left unchallenged lowers the benchmark of what is acceptable.
Reject what you believe is wrong, unacceptable or contrary to the values you uphold. Do it early, clearly and with the courage to stand by your convictions. Boundaries mean little unless you are prepared to defend them.
Silence can be mistaken for consent. What you leave unchallenged today, others may feel entitled to repeat tomorrow. That is the price of consciously looking away at the very moment you should have taken a stand.
Draw the line—or watch it disappear
