Leadership and Talent searching

People create value. An effective leader needs to be an impatient talent scout...always on a look-out to enhance the talent quotient of his Enterprise. His internal camera is always on to identify the best talent within so that the right people are identified, coached and elevated for placement to their relevant and correct higher positions. Simultaneously, his external antenna keeps continuously searching and evaluating talent outside. He can't believe (when he sees great talent outside, working elsewhere) that such talent is not working for his enterprise. He soon connects with such talent and evolves strategy to influence them to join his enterprise. The net value that great talent contributes to an enterprise is exponentially higher than the time engaged in such search. Upping the Talent Quotient of the enterprise is the highest contribution of leadership.
