The human instinct to retaliate when hurt is a primal response. While it’s natural to want to fight back, there are wiser paths to consider. The coward may flee, the furious may engage and risk injury, but the cunning will wait for a more opportune moment.

True wisdom lies in recognizing that the journey toward your purpose is more important than the immediate urge to retaliate. Engaging in a fight that could derail your path is not a victory. This learned behavior contrasts with our instinctual drive to respond aggressively. In moments of provocation, it is crucial to pause and choose the more thoughtful response rather than letting primal instincts dictate actions.

When faced with a snake bite, two outcomes are possible: you may perish, or if you survive, you might be tempted to spend your time seeking revenge on the snake. This pursuit can lead to the demise of your purpose.

As you navigate your journey, be mindful of avoiding potential pitfalls. If you do encounter a setback, prioritize recovery and return to your purpose rather than getting lost in the pursuit of vengeance. Such distractions can derail your focus and ultimately threaten your goals.

In the corporate world, I often witness these dynamics play out. Leadership infighting and the labeling of colleagues as "snakes" can lead to significant derailment of corporate journeys.

Remember, the journey of your purpose is paramount. if the snake bites you, rush to the hospital. Prioritize healing and refocusing on your goals. Avoid the snake pits and stay committed to your path.
