Hitting Head Against A Wall

One of life’s greatest mistakes is wasting energy trying to force change where none is possible. Many people continue investing time, emotion, and effort into situations, relationships, or institutions that have neither the intent nor the capacity to respond differently. Persistence is admirable, but persistence without wisdom becomes self-destruction.

A wall is meant to block, not open. No amount of frustration, anger, or repeated impact can easily change its nature. In life too, some people remain closed-minded, some systems remain rigid, and some situations simply refuse to evolve despite our best efforts. Recognising this reality is not defeatism; it is maturity.

Wisdom lies in discerning the difference between a challenge that deserves perseverance and a wall that demands redirection. Sometimes progress comes not by breaking the wall, but by finding another path, another opportunity, or another door already waiting to be opened.

Life rewards resilience, but it rewards discernment even more. Not every barrier is meant to be conquered. Some are meant to teach us where not to waste our strength.
