The 2nd WZCC Capability Building Workshop was a highly successful event ... well conceived, meticulously planned and effectively delivered by Adil Malia and Zerick Dastur.

Whoever has NO problems ? Having problems is quite normal in a disruptive world that is moving fast and having an advanced technology like AI as the prime driver of change. What compounds the problem is absence of a structured process to solve these problems and move fast. Zeric introduced the topic and passed the baton on to Adil.

Every Business has a Purpose. Whenever there is a problem with the process or resources such that Value Creation journey is hampered... that is what becomes a 'Problem'.

A structured and all Engaging - Problem Solving process needs to be institutionalised, explained Adil. The 6 step process includes :

1. Defining the Problem

2. Identifying all the possible causes

3.Prioritizing the critical causes

4. Finding likely solutions for critical causes

5. Prioritizing the most effective solutions

6. Developing an Execution Matrix

Zerick explained that a scientific problem solving process has practical application even in legal cases. He discussed some interesting cases he handled and how a structured process helped in smooth solving of these cases.

Delna Avari was the business guest for the evening. She narrated the 'Nano' story and explained that having a structured process helped in identifying the problems . It need not have to be as detailed but a robust process helps. She evinced audience interest through her story-telling skills.

The audience participated in trying to solve a 'Coffee Machine Breakdown Problem'. It was like a mini case study and participants enjoyed trying to put the process in place and solve this problem.
