The Broken Tile ...

The story of the 'broken tile' serves as a poignant reminder of how human attention tends to fixate on flaws rather than appreciating the overall excellence. The human mind is obsessed about identifying defeciencies. Sometimes it is a forced observation to appear complete - how could one have not observed any defeciencies in the observations made ???? Observations must not be deep and complete then. The cons have to balance the pros .. isn't it (or atleast that is how we have grown to believe). So go, use a microscope and find the shortcomings !

In a beautiful hotel with a stunning swimming pool adorned with Italian tiles, unnoticed, a tile broke. The guests greatly valued their experience of swimming in such a beautiful swimming pool with Italian tiles, until then. A swimmer once noticed that broken tile in the beautiful pool. The word spread.

The broken tile message became viral and consequently the focal point of all guest criticisms & dissatisfaction, overshadowing the grandeur of the entire structure. Even those who only visited their famous restaurants and never swam had sadly a complain about the broken tile !!

This narrative transcends beyond aesthetics into human behavior, highlighting our human tendency to magnify deficiencies over virtues. Whether in customer service surveys or corporate evaluations, the focus often shifts to minor mishaps noticed instead of acknowledging the larger picture of exceptional services and offerings rendered.

Do not allow the lure of perfection to blind us to the beauty that surrounds it. It's essential to celebrate the pool of elegant tiles rather than being consumed by the allure to critique the 'broken tile.'
