We often forget the old shoe, just as we have forgotten the previous pair we wore when purchasing the new one. It’s easy to discard it, isn’t it?
The role of the shoe is to provide comfort and safety, ensuring that the wearer remembers its comfort, appearance, and shine, especially when the new shoe pinches or feels uncomfortable. The desire to return to that old, comfortable shoe signifies its success, embodying its purpose—the Ikigai of the Old Shoe.
But what about the new shoe?
To truly understand its purpose, the new shoe must grasp what made the wearer feel at ease with the old shoe. It should aim to deliver an experience of unmatched comfort, pride in appearance, and a shine that surpasses all expectations. Only then will the wearer forget the old shoe.
