Wisdom And Knowledge In Social Media !!!

The book of wisdom says ... only after you tilled a hundred square yards for 5 years, you may teach at a school ... if you tilled a thousand square yards for 5 years, you may teach the college. But only after you tilled and toiled a thousand acres for 10 years , would you be confident and ready to profess and teach a community !
Unfortunately, social media seems to follow a different norm. In today's social media landscape, the narrative shifts. Influencers emerge not from extensive practical experience but from a quick immersion in various forms of content consumption.
Here all that the 'Influencers' need to do is listen to a lecture, attend a saminar , participate in a pod-cast or read a quick read book picked up at the airport and read during the flight for one to be ready to teach like a pro to ones social media followers .
Knowledge is becoming wide spread and that is excellent. But it's absorption is becoming shallow, that's the sad point. Google has made life easier for thebnew wise to portray and pretend their knowledge. All that one really needs is good language skills. Not even that - Chat GPT now becomes an efficient aide-de- memoire...
Amidst the vast sea of content, discerning readers grapple with whom to trust and follow. The era of social media influencers challenges the traditional notions of authority and expertise. Be on guard. Vigilance becomes paramount as individuals navigate through the digital realm. It is crucial to scrutinize the credibility and background of those we choose to engage with, rather than solely relying on follower counts as a measure of influence.
Remember ... the Pied Piper. Each child followed their friend who they saw in the crowd in front of them . Blind conformity. It took only one to be charmed such that he wanted to follow the Pied Piper and finally all children of the village, well they drowned !!!
Social media not much different. Drowning for all of us, if we are not cautious, not way far too !
