Battered by Proxy... Power-play is an unfortunate reality in the corporate universe like in several other political systems. The real undercurrent of organisational power-play is experienced in the deeper crevices of the enterprise. The surface is graced generally with bouquets of pretentious affection ... the undercurrent but is murky and abused. The unfortunate victims of all such power-play are the poor team members, who like pawns get battered by proxy and who at times are left un-nursed even by their 'guardian patrons' ! Their Managers in upper hierarchies are gullible who get manipulated to succumb & take decisions &sides, unknowingly under guise of justice
